DOHA: In an effort to engage with the public and raise awareness about security and safety measures, the General Directorate of Civil Defence, through its Preventive Education Section under the Prevention Department has launched the 'Safe Ramadan 2024'campaign.
This campaign aims to promote a culture of security and safety while educating the community on fire prevention techniques, proper use of fire extinguishers, and the importance of avoiding unsafe behaviours during the Holy Month.
The campaign started with the distribution of Iftar meals and informative brochures at the historic Doha port and various other locations.
Additionally, it includes visits to Ramadan tents, gatherings, and community assemblies to deliver educational lectures on safety and security protocols for households.
