The radio programme ‘My Wish’, produced by Qatar Charity (QC), is broadcast live on Qatar Radio as part of the charity’s ongoing efforts to support orphans through its ‘Rofaqa’ initiative. Aligned with the current campaign aimed at sponsoring 5,000 orphans, the programme aims to fulfil the heartfelt wishes of these children by sharing their voice messages from various regions worldwide. It actively contributes to making these dreams come true, bringing happiness and joy to the hearts of these young individuals.
Broadcasting daily from Sunday to Thursday at 12.15pm, the programme is hosted by broadcaster Abeer Mubarak. Each episode highlights the wishes of children sponsored by QC, addressing their specific needs such as simple gifts, medical treatment, school fees, and food.
The programme also introduces the ‘Rofaqa’ initiative, shedding light on QC’s various initiatives and programmes during the Holy Month of Ramadan. QC provides a range of wishes, enabling donors to select the wish they want to fulfil by sending an SMS with the donation amount to 92124.
Broadcaster Abeer Mubarak emphasized that the programme stands out for its unique concept, acting as a meaningful bridge between those in need and QC. She underscored QC’s unwavering dedication to facilitating communication between donors and those requiring assistance. Mubarak clarified that the programme’s primary goal is to bring smiles and joy to the hearts of children and their families worldwide. She highlighted the noble tradition of the generous people of Qatar, who extend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether within Qatar or abroad.
It is noteworthy that as part of its ‘Endless Giving’ campaign for the 1445 AH Ramadan, Qatar Charity has initiated a drive to sponsor a new group of orphans in several countries worldwide. The objective is to achieve sponsorship for 5,000 new orphans by the first Friday of Ramadan, with the assistance of compassionate individuals, including both Qatari citizens and residents.
This campaign operates under the theme ‘Expand Your Family’ and seeks to inspire families in Qatar to sponsor one or more orphans, treating them as integral members of their own family, providing them with care and attention.
