CHAIRMAN of Qatar's Civil Aviation Authority Abdullah bin Nasser Turki al Subaie met with President of Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Kuwait Sheikh Salman Sabah al Salem al Hamoud al Sabah in Kuwait on Monday.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in civil aviation and air transport.
Subaie stressed the strength of the social and economic relations between the two countries and their keenness to upgrade them. He also expressed happiness about Qatar's recent participation in the first Kuwait Aviation Show, adding that the air show's success gave a message that Kuwait is a major competitor in the region's aviation market.
Following the meeting, Director-General of Kuwait Civil Aviation Eng Yousef al Fouzan said the meeting discussed cooperation in air transport, safety systems and exchange of experiences between the two sides to hold joint technical sessions.
The meeting also touched on the possibility of using the Fifth Freedom, which provides for transport exchange rights and the provision of facilities in a manner that gives flexibility for air carriers between the two countries, Fouzan added. (QNA/Kuwait)
