The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Monday's trading in the green, encouraged by the growth in real estate and transportation sectors, amid high liquidity. The QSE main index inched up 27 points, or 0.3 percent, to 9,106.77 points.Liquidity increased 18.1 percent to QR200.34 million from QR169.7 million on Sunday, while the trading volume went up 24.6 percent to 8.75 million shares from 7.2 million in the previous session. The real estate sector topped the QSE's six gainers adding 2.7 percent on the back of 4.84 percent increase in the share price of Ezdan Holding Group. Out of the seven sector indices, six closed in the positive territory. The day also saw 20 of the 43 stocks traded on the day advance. While 18 stocks declined, there was no change in the share prices of the remaining five stocks. Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company (MPHC) stock led the market in terms of trading volume. (TNN)
