The International Women’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at MES Indian School, where a special gathering was held at the school’s grass field. Dr Hameeda Kadar, the principal, delivered a speech highlighting the significance of women in the modern world and their crucial role in societal growth and development.

She encouraged women to recognise their potential and strive to make a positive impact on society. Fousiya Salim, a faculty member from the Department of Social Science, presented the principal with a memento as a token of appreciation.

To commemorate the occasion, balloons were released into the air, and a Lucky Draw was conducted with winners receiving awards. A cake-cutting ceremony was held to honour women, with the principal and school officials cutting a cake prepared by the Department of Home Science.

Additionally, male staff members of the school expressed their appreciation for women by presenting them with greeting cards, conveying wishes for happiness and gratitude for their inspiration. The event was attended by all key functionaries of the school, adding to the significance of the celebration.
