The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) organised a meeting with 210 training coordinators and directors from different government entities to enhance cybersecurity indicators at the national and community level and to create a safe work environment.

During the meeting, the NCSA highlighted the importance of the National Cyber Training Programme and its sub-programmes, as well as the benefits of the distance learning system LMS, clarifying the objectives of this system and the added awareness value it provides.

Khalid Al Hashemi, director of National Cyber Empowerment and Excellence Affairs at the National Cyber Security Agency, emphasised that a stable and advanced work environment depends on a secure, safe space, and to achieve this, the agency introduced the National Cyber Training Programme, which supports and embodies the agency’s approach in dealing with cyber threats.

He said, “The National Cyber Training Programme aligns with the agency’s proactive approach to cybersecurity, which focuses on raising awareness, providing training and enhancing cyber qualifications.”

Hashemi stressed that the success of the National Cyber Training Programme relies on the collaboration of targeted entities in awareness training programmes and activities, and the agency is fully committed to providing all the necessary clarifications and information related to the programme.

For her part, Dalal Al Aqeedi, director of the National Cyber Excellence Department, said: “The National Cyber Training Programme in its new version includes new training programmes and events, and the targeted segments have been expanded. The programme in its current version is structured around two main tracks.”

Attendees were accurately educated about the goals and objectives of the National Cyber Training Programme.

The National Cyber Training Programme is one of the main projects of the National Agency for Cybersecurity. It offers different awareness activities for organisations, community and individuals. Over the past year, the programme has successfully trained over 79,000 individuals from 91 organisations.The programme honoured employees of six participating entities - the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Primary Health Care Corporation, Kahramaa, Qatar Aluminum, Qatar University and Qatari Diar.
