Indian Sports Centre (ISC), the apex body under the aegis of the Embassy of India in Qatar, celebrated Qatar National Sport Day in a grand manner.

Qatar National Sport Day, celebrated on the second Tuesday of February every year, is dedicated to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among Qatari citizens and residents.

As a part of QNSD, ISC presented exciting and engaging competitions for people of all ages to create awareness of the importance of physical activity in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and promoting overall well-being.

Qatar Tamizhar Sangam (QTS) won the girls tug-of-war while QKCA won in the boys’ category. 365 Mallu Fitness won in the women’s category while Team Tirur won in the men’s category. Arm wrestling competitions were also held for various categories which saw huge participation.

Indian Sports Centre’s QNSD celebration was inaugurated by ISC President EP Abdul Rahiman. ICC President AP Manikantan, ICBF President Shanavas Bava, ICC office bearers Subramanya Hebbagalu, Abraham Joseph, Sajeev Sathyaseelan, Adv. Jaffer Khan, ICBF office bearers Deepak Shetty, KV Boban, Abdul Raoof Kondotty, Mohd Kunhi, Zareena Ahad, and other community leaders such as Krishna Kumar, Nilangshu Dey, Joppachen Thekkoot, Hyder Chungathara, KC Abdul Rahiman, Mani Bharati, Najeeb Chirakuzhi, Chandramohan Pillai, Ramaselvam, Naufal Paleri, Rahim P and Aji Kuriakose participated. The guests gave away trophies and medals to the winners.

ISC MC Member Deepesh Govindankutty who was incharge of sports day celebrations led the event along with other MC members John Desa, Nihad Ali, Pradeep Pillai, Purushotham Appavoo and Deepak Chukkal.
