Sony Middle East & Africa, the leading consumer electronics brand, in partnership with Fnac Qatar, the one-stop destination for all things culture, leisure and technology, held a series of workshops in Doha last month for content creators to experience its range of digital imaging products.

The first one-day indoor travel and portrait photography workshop saw over 100 photographers and content creators. It was conducted on December 15 at the Indian Cultural Center (ICC) Photography Club, which falls under the aegis of the Embassy of India in Doha, and showcased Sony’s range of cameras that combine versatility and image quality with user-friendly features, making them ideal for those looking to transition to more advanced photography and videography.

Sony ambassador, Abdulla Al-Mushaifri, who was present at the event, said: “Sony’s advanced imaging technology with extensive usability and custom-built features are optimized for creators. This workshop was an excellent platform for photographers to learn more about the artistic possibilities with Sony cameras.” Sony also held two additional workshops at the Qatar Photography Center (QPC), affiliated to the Ministry of Culture, on December 15 and 16, with over 20 participants in attendance. The workshop featured commercial portraits and highlighted the secrets of lighting.

Sony ambassador, Faisal Al Bisher, who was present, said: “Lighting plays a crucial role in creating a mood that effectively conveys artistic intent, whether shooting stills or movies. The workshop was a great opportunity for creators to learn more about Sony’s lighting tools and techniques to capture professional-quality images.” The workshops are a testament to Sony’s continuous support to the local and region’s growing media and entertainment industry where it offers better services and products to inspire content creators. Whether vloggers, streamers, or filmmakers, Sony empowers talented content creators with the best image quality and creative flexibility they need.

Similarly, Fnac Qatar continues to play a vital role in nurturing artistic endeavours and empowering Qatar’s creative minds through strategic partnerships and engaging initiatives.
