The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), which functions under aegis of the Embassy of India, organised the ‘ICC Wednesday Fiesta’, a weekly cultural event for the Indian community in Qatar. The event, held on January 3, featured various musical performances by Jayachandran Fans’ Association in Qatar, celebrating the songs of the renowned Indian singer Jayachandran.
Gargy Vaidhya, the head of External Activities at the ICC, extended a warm welcome to the guests and dignitaries. In his presidential speech, ICC President A P Manikantan expressed gratitude to the community for their response to cultural events and outlined various initiatives undertaken by the ICC. The event was attended by ICC General Secretary Mohan Kumar, ICC Managing Committee members, presidents of associated organisations and senior community leaders.(TNN)
