The fourth phase of lifting COVID-19 restrictions in Qatar will see Metro trains and other public transport services resuming operations in Qatar from September 1.
According to the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management, the Metro trains will operate at 30 percent passenger capacity for the time being. Cinemas and theatres will also be reopened at 15 percent capacity.
Besides, malls will start allowing children below 12 years of age. They will continue to run at normal working hours but will operate only at 50 percent capacity.
The Supreme Committee for Crisis Management on Wednesday said the fourth phase will be split into two.
The first phase will commence on September 1, it said.
After continuously assessing the situation, the second phase will start at the beginning of the third week of September and more restrictions could be re-imposed or further relaxed, committee said.
