The Commander in Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Search Joseph Aoun, on Saturday met with Qatar's Ambassador to Lebanon HE Mohammed Hassan Jaber Al Jaber and a delegation from the Qatari army and search and rescue team.
In the meeting, the two sides disscussed the mission being carried out by the Qatari team in Beirut after the devastating blast earlier this month that killed more than 170 people.
An International Search and Rescue Group from the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) of Qatar was sent to Beirut on the orders of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani immediately after the blast.
The teams aid Lebanese officials in their response to the explosions that shook Beirut on August 4. Qatar has already sent a planeload of medical supplies and two field hospitals to Beirut.
