As many as 540 beachgoers have been warned by the Al Shamal municipal authorities for littering after it intensified a campaign against public cleanliness law violations during the Eid Al Adha holidays.
The municipal authorities also took action against 64 violations of the Public Hygiene Law No 18 of 2017 during the campaign.
In July, the Al Shahaniya Municipality inspected numerous food establishments. Its municipal officials inspected a total of 1,186 carcasses and destroyed three of them completely and 16 of them partially as they were found unfit for human consumption.
Meanwhile the General Control Department initiated measures to remove 37 abandoned vehicles within its boundaries.
