The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced single lane traffic closure on both directions of Grand Hamad Street along 700 meters from the intersection known as Abdulla Bin Jassim Intersection up to the intersection of Grand Hamad Street with Al-Mahar Street.
This diversion implemented in coordination with the Traffic Department will start from the evening of Thursday, 16th July 2020 for a period of six months, in order to facilitate implementation of infrastructure development and beautification works on Grand Hamad Street, within the project of Doha Central development and beautification - third package.
During the closure period, two lanes will remain open to traffic in both directionsand accesses will be provided to residential areas and commercial facilities in the neighborhood throughout the project implementation period.
While ensuringproper road signage to alert commuters on this temporary diversion, Ashghal calls on all commuters to adhere to the speed limits and to follow road signage to ensure safety of people.
