The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) has designated hundreds of sitting areas in its beaches as part of reopening them on July 1.
Katara will reopen Beaches 3, 4 and 5 on Friday, when the second phase of easing COVID-19 restrictions start in Qatar.
The management said Katara has put in place mechanisms to ensure social distancing at the beaches and disinfected the playground and the boats at the beaches.
Katara has set up 130 sitting areas at Beach 3, 100 at Beach 4 and 50 at Beach 5. Each sitting area can accommodate up to six persons with a space of 3 metres between each spot.
Swimming will be allowed in Beaches 3 and 4, while Jetski ramp will be operational from July 1 from 3pm until sunset for people with own jestkis.
