A series of recent actions initiated or supported by various municipal authorities in Qatar has resulted in the razing of unlicensed buildings, the removal of abandoned vehicles and the seizure of a truck dumping debris in Thumama.
The buildings were razed in Ras Maridaga area as they stood on state properties without licenses. The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) pulled the buildings down in cooperation with the Municipality of Al Khor as part of a campaign to remove encroachments from government land.
The municipality called on citizens and residents to obtain necessary approvals and licenses before constructing a building and dial 184 for inquiries or complaints.
The abandoned cars, numbering around 50, were removed from within the jurisdiction of the Umm Salal Municipality.
Meanwhile, the Doha municipality, represented by the General Control Department, seized a truck that dumped debris on an empty piece of land in the New Thumama region (No. 50).
On Tuesday, the Municipality of Al Shahaniya carried out 38 inspection tours of food establishments.
The Al Daayen Municipality, in cooperation with Qatar Charity and the IKEA store, concluded an initiative to distribute meals and food bags to the workers in Barwa Al-Khor Mall and workers at the Al-Daayen Services Complex.
