Qatar's weekly average of positive COVID-19 infections out of every 100 tests fell from 34 last week to 29 this week.
According to the latest figures released by the Planning and Statistics Authority, the weekly average ratio of positive cases to examined cases between June 10 and 16 stands at 28.8. The figure was 38.4 at the peak, between May 20 and 26. Since then, the average has been declining steadily
As of June 16, 21,536 people are currently under treatment for COVID-19 in Qatar. Tuesday saw 1,201 people testing positive out of 5,161 people examined.
The death toll from the infection stands at 80, while 60,461 have recovered.
