Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said he salute the people and residents of Qatar on the third anniversary of the unjust siege imposed by some of its neighbours.
In a series of tweets on Friday, the foreign minister said, "On the anniversary of the unjust siege that started with a weak campaign of disinformation that harmed the reality and image of the Cooperation Council and our peoples, I can only salute the Qatari people and the residents for their resilience.  Thanks to God before and after.
"We face many regional and international challenges, the last of which was as a delegate 19, and it would have been more beneficial to see a solidarity of the Gulf Cooperation Council to protect our peoples and fight the challenges together, but unfortunately, polarization still persists instead of prevailing wisdom and governing the mind.
"The State of Qatar has always called for unconditional and civilized dialogue based on equality, respect for sovereignty, international law and non-interference in internal affairs.  These are our positions that have not and will not change, and we look forward to the participation of the blockading countries in them one day, so that the Council, as established by our fathers, can return to the nucleus of cooperation and integration that meets the aspirations of our peoples."
