QT-Online / Thursday, April 9, 2020 / Categories: Top News Qatar Air Force’s 4th and 5th jets with COVID-19 aid to reach Italy today and tomorrow Tribune News Network Doha After delivering two mobile health units (field hospitals), the Qatari Amiri Air Force’s third and fourth jets with more medical aid from Qatar will touch down in Italy on Thursday and Friday to help fight the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Europe’s worst-hit country. The Air Force jets are flying out to Italy from Qatar on the orders of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani. The aid dispatch is carried out in cooperation with the Qatar Fund for Development and the Qatari Armed Forces. An official statement published by QNA said, “Despite its preoccupation and interest in fortifying the internal situation to protect itself from the coronavirus epidemic and its various repercussions, the State of Qatar, under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, did not forget its role and humanitarian duty towards friendly and brotherly nations and provide them with assistance.” The first batch of Qatari aid arrived in Italy on Wednesday. They include two field hospitals — a 5,200 squaremetre unit and 4,000 square metre unit — with 500 beds each.
