Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al Thani visited several factories manufacturing medical supplies in the Industrial Area to assess their production progress and self-sufficiency.
The prime minister visited the Qatar Pharma Pharmaceutical Industries Factory, Qatar Al-Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries Factory and Al-Maha Medical Supplies. They are involved in the manufacture medical masks and sanitisers. Sheikh Khalid was briefed on their production process, capacities and strategic plans.
The prime minister also inspected the laboratories, warehouses and the workflow of the factories to see if they are working in accordance with their manufacturing plans.
Sheikh Khalid praised the efforts of the factories, their managements and workers, commending the role played by the private sector in the several spheres, particularly the medical field, in response to the national executive plan to counter the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
