Chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al Thani, Qatar’s weekly Cabinet session on Wednesday was held via video conferencing amid the coronavirus pandemic. It approved a host of measures to limit the spread of the outbreak in Qatar.
Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Dr Issa bin Saad Al-Jafali al Nuaimi announced the four decisions the cabinet approved on Wednesday. They are: 
1 - Reducing the number of employees in government workplace
2 - Reducing the number of workers in private workplace to 20% of the total strength; remaining 80 percent have to work from home
3- (A) Fixing work time for employees and workers at their workplace in both government and private sectors at six hours per day, starting from 7 am to 1 pm. 
(B) Food stores, pharmacies, and restaurants that take external orders are excluded from this decision. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in coordination with the concerned authorities, shall determine other necessary activities exempted from this decision. 
(C) All meetings for employees and workers in the government and private sectors who are at their place of work must be held (remotely) using modern technical means, and in the event that this is not possible, and in cases of necessity, the meeting will be held with a number of no more than five people, after taking preventive measures determined by the Ministry of Public Health.
4 – (A) Stopping temporary home services provided by cleaning and hospitality companies
(B) Reducing the number of workers who are transported by buses to half their capacities, after taking precautionary measures.
(C) - Intensifying Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s inspections on food establishments to ensure their compliance with COVID-19 health and safety measures, such as social distancing
The following entities are excluded from decision 1 and A and C of decision 3
1 - The military sector
2- The security sector
3- Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions
4 - The health sector
5- Oil and gas sector
6 - Employees of government agencies whose nature of their work requires their presence, according to what is decided by the head of the competent authority
7 - Workers in major state projects
