Aluminium models of Apple Watch Series 2 and 3 from 2016 to 2019 have been recalled in Qatar due to a flaw that could lead to cracking of their screens.
The recall was announced by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with dealers of Apple watches in Qatar — iFix Qatar, Ali bin Ali and 51 East.
The recall campaign comes within the framework of the ministry’s continuous efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on product defects and repairs.
The ministry said it would coordinate with the dealers to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that they carried out the necessary repairs.
The ministry urges all customers to report violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquires and suggestions through the following channels:
