The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has called on the public, including citizens, expatriates, and legal persons (according to the National Address Law), to register their national addresses within six months, starting from January 27 (Monday) until July 26, 2020.
In a statement on Saturday, the MoI said the registration is available through Matrash 2 or the ministry’s website, or direct application through the unified service centres of the Ministry of Interior.
The MoI warned people that if the national address is not submitted during the said period, the violator will face all the legal consequences.
The ministry indicated that this registration comes in implementation of the provisions of Law No 24 of 2017 regarding the National Address and the Minister of Interior’s Decision No 96 of 2019 implementing some provisions of the aforementioned law.
The National Address facilitates quick delivery of various services from different service providers in the country and it is a paradigm shift in the conduct of judicial proceedings.
