On an annual basis, the increase was 0.3 percent during October of 2019. These data were published in the 70th issue of the monthly statistics. In addition, this month also witnessed an increase in the total live births by a monthly rate of 5.7 percent, offset by the decrease in total deaths at a monthly rate of 7.4 percent (compared to September 2019). Light injuries are accounted for the vast majority of traffic accidents during the same month, with 85 percent, followed by severe injuries by 12 percent. However, 16 deaths were recorded, equivalent to only 3 percent of total traffic accidents. The total number of registered new vehicles during October 2019 has reached 6557 new vehicles. The figure showed a monthly increase of 10.7 percent and an annual increase of 3.4 percent. For Banking Sector; Total Broad Money Supply (M2) recorded about 559.0 Billion Qatari Riyals during October 2019, an annual decrease of 2.1 percent compared with October 2018. On the other hand, cash equivalents; including Commercial Bank Deposits, attained for 825.3 Billion Qatari Riyals during October 2019. The figure has recorded an annual increase of 2.4 percent compared to October 2018, when deposits recorded approximately 806.0 Billion Qatari Riyals.
