The Minister of Finance HE Ali Shareef al Emadi met with US Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington DC.
During the meeting, they discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Emadi also met with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting, he reiterated Qatar’s efforts to encourage foreign direct investment and discussed recent Qatari investments in the US.
Governors of central banks, ministers of finance, investment and development, senior officials from the private sector, representatives of civil society organisations and academies are taking part in the Spring Meetings to discuss issues of global concern, including the global economic outlook, poverty eradication and economic development.
The Spring Meetings kicked off on Tuesday with a review of the world economic outlook. (QNA)
