Between Wednesday and Saturday, daytime temperature may rise by up to 6 degrees, reaching mid-30s especially in southern and central areas of the country, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has said.
This is because the skies over Qatar will continue to be affected by a state of instability due to the extension of a low pressure over the region during the period.
Partly cloudy to cloudy weather is expected to continue, with a chance of scattered rain of variable intensity. The showers might be accompanied by thunder as well.
Wind is expected to be mainly Easterly to Northeasterly ranging between 8 to 18 kt, reaching 25 kt during rain, causing high waves ranging between 4 and 6 feet and may even rise up to 10 feet.
The Met department called on the public to be careful during the rain, which might be accompanied by sudden strong wind. It also advised extreme caution while going out into the sea during the period.
