The MoPH in coordination with the General Authority of Customs also sends food for health control especially Ramadan food items.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health has called on individuals and groups which distribute food and prepare food for iftar tents to ensure safety of food products and not to use products beyond their expiry dates.
The inspection campaigns carried out by the MoPH aims to ensure providing safe and healthy food to people as well as ensure the compliance of food establishments to health requirements while preparing, serving and transferring foods.
The Ministry also pointed out that the most important reason for unsafe, unhygienic food is display and storage of food products in a wrong way and without applying health requirements.
