International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) is launching its 8th Ramadan 'Do Good Deeds' campaign, a community-outreach initiative started in 2009 stemming from the bank's belief in supporting the community and improving the lives of children and elderly people. IBQ partnered with The Ritz-Carlton Doha to host a Suhour with the Qatar Society For Rehabilitation of Special Needs.
It is not the first time that IBQ and The Ritz-Carlton have come together for a CSR activity. People with disability and special needs are of particular interest to both organisations that strongly support and committed to their welfare and full integration into the Qatari society.
"IBQ's social responsibility agenda includes a wide variety of events in different fields, particularly in the Holy Month of Ramadan. Taking care of people with special needs requires continuous efforts and investment in their social, mental, academic and healthy rehabilitation. We have the highest respect for the Qatar Society For Rehabilitation of Special Needs mission and for their staff working very hard for a better society," commented IBQ Managing Director Omar Bouhadiba.
Amir al Mulla from Qatar Society For Rehabilitation of Special Needs expressed utmost gratitude:"We are grateful to IBQ and The Ritz-Carlton for their generosity and support. The Holy Month is the perfect time of the year to show support and do good deeds."
"We are thrilled to have partnered with IBQ in this CSR initiative and we would like to thank the institution for this opportunity. Giving back to society is at the very core of the hotel's CSR strategy worldwide and we are proud to support the Qatar Society For Rehabilitation of Special Needs," added The Ritz-Carlton Doha General Manager Erden Kendigelen.
