Doha The Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Friday sent a cable of condolences to Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al Sisi over the deaths of scores of people in a terrorist attack on a mosque in Northern Sinai, praying to Allah the Almighty to have mercy on the victims' souls and rest them in the paradise.
The Emir wished the injured a speedy recovery, and reiterated Qatar's strong condemnation of this brutal crime, which is contrary to all religious and human values and principles.
Meanwhile, in a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the explosion and renewed Qatar's firm position against violence and terrorism regardless of its motives. It also stressed Qatar's rejection of attacks on places of worship. (QNA)
