Germany has said the boycott of Qatar is threatening regional development and growth.
"Germany will continue to work on a diplomatic solution to the crisis," the German Foreign Office said.
"The unity that has defined the Gulf region has cracked. Months have passed since Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt broke off diplomatic relations with Qatar. The boycott of Qatar continues and a list of grievances remains in dispute. This is the time of unity and not disarray," it said.
"Since the beginning of the crisis, German diplomacy has been actively involved. Like our partners in Europe, America and the Gulf region, Germany is talking to all sides. We need dialogue and negotiations. So, Germany supports the Kuwaiti mediation efforts," the German Foreign Office stated.
"Our people continue to connect ” through arts and culture, education and travel. German diplomacy will continue to build these bridges between our people," it said.
"Trade and investments unite us. Over a thousand Germany companies do business in the Gulf region, employing thousands of people. Investments make Germany and Gulf companies strong and profitable. Trade grows in times of stability and cooperation. We need a united Gulf region to relise our joint potential. And we need unity against Daesh to help communities rebuild and to combat terrorism of the so-called Islamic State," the statement said.
