MES Indian School commemorated Children's Day by holding programmes in each section of the school. On the day a special assembly was conducted and Children's Day messages were read.
Competitions and fun-filled games, such as fancy dress, drawing, colouring, painting, paper bag-making, greeting card-making, collage, poster-designing, ribbon rose making, caption-writing, elocution, puppet show on the theme 'Healthy Food', musical chair and slogan writing were conducted. Teachers rendered a medley of songs about children's aspirations and future.
"Children's Day, apart from paying tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, is dedicated to children who are the architects of modern society, and whose aspirations need to be guarded and guided in the right direction," said Principal Hameeda Kadar.
The children were given gifts on the occasion as a token of love.
