The Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani and King Mohammed VI of Morocco on Sunday held talks on the bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for strengthening them.
At the beginning of the talks held at the Emiri Diwan, HH the Emir welcomed the King of Morocco and the accompanying delegation, expressing hope that the visit would further boost the relations between the two countries,in order to meet the wishes of the peoples and open up new horizons for joint cooperation.
HH the Emir also congratulated the King and the Moroccan people on the occasion of Morocco's qualification for the 2018 World Cup finals.
On his part, King Mohammed VI thanked HH the Emir for his congratulations, expressing his happiness over the visit, which aims to strengthen fraternal ties and relations between the two countries.
The two sides reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation at various levels and discussed the developments on the Arab and international arenas.
The talks were attended by the Deputy Emir His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al Thani and a number of ministers.
On the Moroccan side, the talks were attended by HRH Prince Moulay Ismail, Fouad Aali al Himma, advisor to the King, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Nasser Bourita.
