THE Cultural Village Foundation 'Katara' will organise several educational and informative workshops focusing on innovative arts from next week, said a press release.
The workshops, to be held throughout November at Katara Art Studios in Building 19, will kick off on Sunday with 'String Art workshop' by eminent artist Juwanaal Shalaan. The three-day workshop is open to males and females aged 18 years and above.
It will be followed by another workshop bynoted calligrapher and artist Ammar al Dasouki titled, 'Fatimid Kufic Calligraphy Workshop-Authenticity and Modernity', which will be held from November 5 to 28. The workshop, which is open to males and females aged 16 years and above, will be presented in Arabic.
Furthermore, an interactive workshop titled 'Family workshop to design an iPad case on Canvas' will be held on November 2 and 3. The workshop will be open to both males and females and will be conducted in Arabic and English.
The workshops are being organised as part of Katara's keenness to deliver a wide array of art and culture events and activities for its audiences.
