The Graduaid team shared knowledge about the common distractions faced in schools and workplaces that could make one forget their long-term goals with youngsters at the sixth Qatar Leadership Conference (QLC) recently.
Educational Advisors Ameera al Ansari, Dana ElGhazal and Sara Fahad alFardan from Graduaid Academic Consultancy delivered speeches during the conference.
Commenting on the event, Fardan, one of the co-founders and an academic advisor at Graduaid, said,"As part of our support towards QLC's efforts to develop Model UN programmes and events for students in the region, we are glad to present the theme 'Live, Love, Leave a Legacy' at this year's conference.
"The seminars engaged a young audience through constructive discussions, debates, actions and potential solutions to the various global issues. The session was a stimulating one that provoked students to question, think and find solutions to life's daily challenges."
The session threw light on the art of balancing between the different components in life, while making sure of creating one's own legacy.
"We spoke about our own leadership experiences and the challenges we faced. We told the students how we managed to achieve our personal goals by challenging ourselves", added Ansari, one of the co-founders and an academic advisors at Graduaid.
The conference provided workshops for students and teachers to share ideas based on various perspectives and experiences.
With almost 1,700 annual participants from Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, the QLC is regarded as the ideal pre-university education platform for students.
The conference featured MUN, debate and educational leaders collaborating with participants in skills-building, professional learning, organisation, teaching, community service, media and journalism.
During the last few years, Graduaid had closely worked with the MUN. Ameera al Ansari had previously participated in the international Model United Nations conferences in Beijing and The Hague. Dana was the president of the Qatar Academy Model United Nations club in 2009-2010 and attended conferences in Dublin, Beijing and The Hague. Sara founded the QMUN Film Festival in 2009, which later became the THIMUN Film Festival.
Graduaid Academic Consultancy has been successfully operating in Qatar since March 2016 with an aim to 'Make it Simple' for students to meet their educational goals. The dynamic team of four guide students through the application process, which includes consultation, course shortlisting, application review, personal statement proofreading, standardised testing registration, conducting mock interviews, editing, visa and accommodation assistance.
Qatar Academy and The Hague International Online Model United National Foundation established THIMUN Qatar in 2011, with a view to developing student leadership in schools, specifically in MUN and media studies. The QLC has a dual goal encompassing two elements. Firstly, providing high school students with quality workshops designed to improve their leadership skills.
