The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) will initiate registration for winter camps at a special counter at Villagio Mall from October 22 to December 31.
The camping season in the country lasts from November 1 to April 31, and sees thousands of families thronging open areas, especially the Sealine, to enjoy the cool weather and escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
MME officials have urged campers to comply with the regulations and take safety measures to enjoy safe camping. Organisers of winter camps are required to pay QR10,000 as a security deposit to ensure the camping sites are not subjected to any environmental violations.
