Katsuya by Starck opened at the Villagio Mall recently. As part of it's official opening, the Japanese restaurant hosted a masterclass titled 'The Art of Japanese Sushi Making' led by its Executive Chef Mark Sorezo.
The masterclass was attended by local media representatives, food bloggers and social media influencers who engaged in an interactive sushi-making session that combined classic techniques with Katusya by Starck's iconic international twist. The guests watched as Sorezo skillfully sliced a salmon into elegant pieces, then got to try first-hand the techniques of sushi rolling.
"Katsuya prides itself on creating authentic dishes that cater to the international palate," said Sorezo."We wanted this masterclass to give our attendees an insight to the art of Japanese sushi-making while introducing them to some tips and tricks that have made Katsuya the award-winning restaurant it is today."
