THE first batch of divers and parachute jumpers at Police College of Ministry of Interior (MoI) graduated in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani at the Sealine area on Saturday.
The ceremony included a live show of parachute jumps carried out by a number of graduates from a height of 5,000 feet as well as paratroopers of the International Qatar Search and Rescue Group carrying slogans of 'Tamim Al Majd' and Lekhwiya flags. The graduates showed great confidence and discipline and proved their skills by performing outstandingly infront of the elite audience. The PM felicitated the 105 graduates and gave away badges to all of them, as well as honouring all participating groups in the ceremony.
The graduates had been through intensive and comprehensive training diving courses which started from July 2 until August 23 under the supervision of professional trainers in this field. They then underwent a parachuting course starting from September 10 to 30, 2017.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials and officers of MoI, members of the Supreme Council of the Police College, and parents of the graduates in an atmosphere of pride and joy.
