HER Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad al Thani, Vice-Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), and Omran Hamad al Kuwari, Executive Director, CEO Office, QF, welcomed a delegation from UNESCO to Education City in Doha on Monday.
HE Sheikha Hind discussed future plans at QF and the potential for collaboration opportunities with the 12-member international delegation at QF headquarters. She explained how QF's flagship development, Education City, serves as a hub of academic excellence, housing a range of educational facilities, from QF schools to partner universities and its homegrown institution, Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
Following the meeting, the visitors were given a comprehensive presentation highlighting QF's different education institutes, science and research centres, and community development initiatives. They were also given a tour of the open-air viewing platform on the eighth floor of QF HQ.
Concluding the visit, the UNESCO delegation members, who came from South Africa, El Salvador, Kenya, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Oman, Qatar, Sudan, Yemen and Algeria, signed the QF visitors' book to commemorate their visit. (TNN)
