QATAR Summer Festival (QSF) organisers have announced a packed schedule of an array of exciting events during Eid Al Adha festivities, which coincide with the final week of the QSF.
QSF's events during the Eid holidays will feature staging of plays, the summer edition of the Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, Doha Comedy Festival as well as many other free entertainment activities for all members of the family.
These Eid activities come in addition to QSF's enticing hospitality, entertainment and retail offers, which began on June 25 and will continue until September 5.
Saif al Kuwari, director of PR and Communication at Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), commented:"The activities added to QSF for Eid Al Adha are set to double the joy for Qatar's residents and visitors, and end the country's longest running festival on a high note."
Special QSF events for Eid Al Adha are the following:
Mall Entertainment & Stage Shows: From the first through to the fifth day of Eid Al Adha, QSF's participating malls will be putting on free entertainment shows for shoppers and families looking for some indoor fun between 4pm and 10pm (Mall of Qatar entertainment will begin earlier at 2pm).
Tom & Jerry fans are in for a treat this Eid with daily shows at Doha Festival City. The children's favourite cartoon characters will take to the stage at 4pm, 7:45pm and again at 9:15 for shows that last each time for half an hour.
Residents and visitors are invited to a journey to Neverland with Peter Pan's hour-long performances at Lagoona Mall, showing daily at 4:30pm, 7:30pm and 9:30pm.
Acrobatic Ballet and Theatrical Circus troupes will rotate among participating malls to put on three 20-minute shows. The troupes will perform separately and at different malls every day.
Baraem TV's children's show characters will take to the stage at Doha Festival City to perform 'Doing Good Together', the half an hour show at 5pm, 6:30pm and 8:30pm.The Baraem TV characters will also appear at Mall of Qatar's Oasis Stage to perform Eid Happiness twice a day at 3pm and 5pm; the show will last for half an hour.
Following a successful debut on Qatar National Theater's stage, the Arabic play Khosheysha (Hide & Seek) by Al Safliya Media Production will be performed at Entertainment City's stage for free over Eid from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. The short play teaches children about traditional Qatari values and customs.

Outdoor activities: Families can head to Sealine Beach, Aqua Park, Aspire Park, Souq Waqif, Katara Cultural Village or Souq Waqif Al Wakrah for a variety of outdoor activities throughout Eid. In keeping with the popular tradition, the skies above the Katara Cultural Village will light up with firework displays between 9:30pm and 9:45pm from the first to the fourth day of Eid Al Adha.

Stand Up Comedy: On the third day of Eid (Sunday, September 3), the third summer edition of Doha Comedy Festival will be held, bringing together a diverse line-up of stand-up comedy stars. The show featuring Mo Amer, Maz Jobrani, Nemr Nemr, Vir Das and Qatar's very own stand-up comedy pioneer, Hamad al Ammari, is set to be held at Qatar National Convention Centre and will begin at 8pm. Tickets in the silver, gold and platinum categories are available for QR45, QR99 and QR149, respectively, at all branches of Virgin Megastores in Qatar and can be purchased online through the store's website.

Grand Finale: Qatar's longest running festival will wrap up with a closing event at Mall of Qatar's Oasis stage on September 5 (Tuesday). The grand finale will kick off with the long-anticipated Mega Raffle Draw at 6pm, and will be followed by special traditional and entertainment shows.
