QSL side Al Arabi Club got a blow ahead of the start of the new QSL season with young defender Feras Dahbour suffering a serious knee injury during pre-season training camp in Slovenia.
Dahbour got hurt during Al Arabi's 1-1 draw against Slovenian side NK Ankaran. The defender is expected to be out for at least six months. Kais Y'e2akoubi's side are now expected to train till August 26 before returning to Doha.
Al Arabi are scheduled to take on Al Sailiya in their first game of the Qatar Stars League season on September 16.

QSC lose
Newly-promoted Qatar Sports Club fell to a 2-0 defeat to Slovenian side NK Bre'9eice. The Kings are set to stay in Slovenia till August 28 before returning home.

Al Gharafa rampant
Al Gharafa pulled off an impressive 6-1 friendly win over Turkish side Dolayobaspor, as Jean Fernanez's new side prepares for the new season. The Cheetahs ran riot against their opponents, with three summer signings finding the back of the net. Luis Jim`nez, Diogo Amado and Qatari youth international Abdulmajeed Enad all struck a goal each in the big victory.
Al Gharafa will return home on Tuesday.

Umm Salal beaten
Umm Salal were narrowly defeated by Dutch side Travis 0-1 during a friendly match in their Holland camp. Head coach Mahmoud Jaber rotated his side heavily for the match, with the Egyptian coach trying to finalise the best possible starting line-up.

Duhail cruise home
Fresh from their training camp in Austria, Al Duhail registered a 2-0 win over Al Markhiya, prior to the newly-promoted side heading to their training camp in Bulgaria. The newest side in the QSL eased to victory thanks to goals from Yusef el Arabi and Yusef Msakni.

Khor down Bagdad
Al Khor secured a 3-0 win over Dutch side Bagdad in their penultimate friendly of their training camp in Holland. The Knights scored the goals through Saud al Khalaki, Saeed Ibrahimi and summer signing David Dasilva.
Al Khor will take on fellow QSL side Umm Salal on Tuesday before coming back for the final phase of their preparations for the new QSL season.

Qataris in 3 semis
Qatar's Fahad al Moghni and Ahmad al Mothana qualified for men's doubles semi-finals after beating Mohammad and Abdulrahim Adan of Somalia in the Arab Table Tennis Championship in Muscat, Oman.
They will clash with Egypt's Mohammad al Beyali and Ahmad Ali Saleh for a place in the final.
Maryam Ali Abdulaziz also entered the semi-finals of girls event after her 3-0 victory over Fatima al Daqdouqi of Lebanon. In the semi-finals, her opponent will be Talia Azer of Lebanon.
Qatar's Khalif al Yafai booked a spot in the semi-finals and will clash with Yemen's Ibrahim Abdulhakim.
