The virtual rotating portrait is the biggest so far in Qatar to be publicly showcased and can be seen from a distance of over 3km.
"The portrait has become the face of Qatari unity during the ongoing economic blockade. Its presence on our exterior marks a very proud moment for us, representing our support to the nation.
The response this virtual display has on the public is remarkable, as we daily receive a big number of photos from our guests and the city's residents. Such a significant show of support is truly inspiring to see," said Torch Doha General Manager Sherif Sabry.
The Tamim Al Majd portrait will continue to light the night sky of Doha every night and everyone can admire it until midnight. The initiative is expected to draw a large audience including photography enthusiasts, as it can be seen from all angles.
