Report on emergency air corridors for Qatari planes false: MoTC, CAA

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Sunday announced that there was no truth in the news reported by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the countries imposing an embargo on Qatar have allowed Qatari planes to use air corridors in case of emergencies. In a press release, the MoTC and CAA said these countries did not issue any navigation announcements as is the practice in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). They also called on the countries not to leak incorrect news ahead of the special session of the ICAO Council to be held on Monday in Montreal, Canada.
