The US wants to end the Gulf crisis but the Saudi-led bloc has ignored proposals from Washington to resolve the standoff, Foreign Minister HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani has said.
"It was noticed that the blockade states did not react to the suggestions made by the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson during his recent Gulf visit," the FM told Al Jazeera.
Sheikh Mohammed said he discussed with Tillerson the American proposals on the Gulf crisis, which the US top diplomat came up with during his recent visit to the Gulf.
The FM stressed that the US proposals must be responded to first by the blockading countries before any talks about setting a date or place for dialogue, according to Qatar News Agency.
He said Qatar had dealt with US advice in a"positive and constructive way" and Washington wants to end the Gulf crisis through dialogue.
"In addition, we discussed our bilateral relations and the memorandum of understanding on fighting terrorism that we signed and the measures we took regarding it," he added.
