The Stafford Sri Lankan School Doha (SSLSD) donated school uniforms, shoes and books to the students of Welgama Primary School in Mathugama, Kaluthara, Sri Lanka.
A few months ago, Welgama Primary School was badly affected by floods which destroyed classrooms and most of its resources. SSLSD assisted in the school's renovation and donated computers, computer tables, printers, projectors and photo copiers to help the school resume normal lessons.
The school has recently been declared re-established and SSLSD with some students and parents went back to donate school necessities to the students. SSLSD also hopes to build a pond, herbal garden and equip Welgama Primary School's mini science lab.
SSLSD Chairman Kumudu Fonseka thanked those who contributed to the cause.
