Thousands of worshippers attended the Eid prayers organised by Indian community organisations on Sunday.
Eidgah, jointly organised by Ministry of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) and Islamic Affairs, Indian Islamic Association (IIA), Qatar Indian Islahi Center (QIIC) and Qatar Muslim Islahi Center (QMIC), were offered at mosques, schools and Al Arabi Sports Club.
More than 2,000 people belonging to Indian and other expatriate communities offered prayers at Eidgahs organised by IIA at Ali bin Ali Masjid where PP Abdul Rahman delivered the sermon.
In another gathering participated in by over 2,000 worshippers at Madinath Khalifa Boys High School, Muhamed Zakir delivered the sermon.
Large number of people, including women, attended the Eidgah organised at Al Wakra Sports Club, Al Khor and Mesaieed.
