Zafran Indian Bistro in Mall of Qatar is offering Iftar meals to diners priced at QR89 per person and QR 49 for children under the age 12. The four-course set menu will leave guests satisfied and nourished but not stuffed, according to Zafran Culinary Head Chef Gaurav Singh, who carefully put together the Ramadan offering.
The first course features a hearty but light dal shorba followed by a selection of chicken and fish kebabs. For the vegetarians, the starters include paneer tikka and stuffed mushroom. Diners can then choose from one of Zafran's signature main courses and accompaniments including the perennial favourites Chicken Tikka Masala, Fish Curry, Palak Paneer, Gobi Mutter and Dal Zafran. The sweet ending to the meal is Gulab Jamun with Rabdi, a traditional Indian dessert consisting of deep-fried cottage cheese dumplings in sugar syrup. Dates, fresh fruit and an Iftar drink will be provided to all guests along with naan and rice.
"Ramadan is a time of reflection and quality family time. There's no better place to enjoy this time with your loved ones than at Zafran, where the cosy and inviting ambience combines with exemplary service and a tastefully crafted Iftar menu that satisfies but doesn't overwhelm," said Singh.
