WOQOD has opened a new petrol station in Al Egda, Al-Khor area, a press release said on Wednesday.
This is the fourth station to be commissioned in 2017 after Al Mashaf Wukair, Abu Nakhla Salwa Road, and Um Ghuwailina Doha Center which were inaugurated during the first quarter of 2017.
The total number of petrol stations owned by Woqod has reached 46 stations (excluding mobile stations).
This new petrol station is spread over an area of 17,000 square meters approximately, and has a Fahes Center within its premises. This centre is almost complete and expected to be open very soon. The station will offer basic services including all petroleum products, in addition to Sidra C- store, oil change, tire repair service and sale of LPG cylinders.
The station also has an electronic payment service (Woqode) for individuals and companies that offers many benefits, especially shortening the filling time which reduces congestion at the station, controls customer purchases and prevents the manipulation of invoices by drivers .
On this occasion, Saad Rashid al Muhannadi, Chief Executive Officer of Woqodsaid,"We are pleased to open this station in the area of Al Egda, as part of our strategy to provide essential services to different areas in the State of Qatar, especially places which are witnessing the closure of private stations, due to maintenance work, or the change of business, as well as the need to satisfy increasing demand in new populated areas, or in purpose of delivering new infrastructure projects". Muhannadi added that Woqod is currently engaged in 8 projects under construction, which are almost complete. Part of it is expected to be open during the second half of 2017, while the other during the first half of 2018. In addition, seven projects are in tendering stages and other five projects are in design stages. These projects are expected to be commissioned by end 2018. Furthermore, we are coordinating with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment for allocating new sites in different areas of the State for Woqod new projects. Finally, Woqod is sincerely grateful to all the public and civil authorities that contributed to the completion of these projects.
