The Stafford Sri Lankan School Doha (SSLSD) held a graduation ceremony for its 'My Language Programme'. The programme was launched four years ago to keep students familiar with their mother tongue and strengthen their identity as Sri Lankans after settling outside their country.
The function was attended by Heritage TV Channel Managing Director Hemanalin Karunarathne. The My Language Programme students made the celebration livelier with skit, dance and song presentations.
At the event, the introduction of the 'Muthuhara Lama Samajaya' programme was also announced. This new programme aims to create excellent media professionals and is open to SSLSD and non-SSLSD students.
