AL Meera Consumer Goods Company will keep its Al Mansoura supermarket open for 24 hours during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This is Al Meera's second 24-hour store after Legtaifiya branch.
In response to a call by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), Al Meera has also extended the working hours of most of its branches until after midnight during Ramadan.
Al Meera is the first consumer retail chain in the country to commit to the MEC's Ramadan initiative 'The Least We Can Do', stated the company in a press statement.
Commenting on the initiative, Sheikh Thani bin Thamer al Thani, Al Meera's Chairman of the Board of Directors, said:"Since inception, Al Meera has been at the heart of the community and has spared no efforts to make a real difference in the shopping experience in the country. This year, Al Meera's active participation in the MEC initiative is the expression of our appreciation for consumers' role in the Qatari community."
Al Meera's participation in the MEC initiative comes on the heels of its recent collaboration with the ministry, where the company made use of specially designed shelf-talkers to clearly designate 418 products that are priced by the MEC in order to keep consumers well informed during Ramadan.
The company has recently launched its '1438 consumer goods at cost price' offer as a tribute to the Islamic Year 1438 and as part of this year's Ramadan campaign under the slogan 'an abundance of good in the month of goodness'.
The campaign gives consumers of 35 Al Meera branches, as well as G`ant Hypermarket, the opportunity to purchase at cost-price 1438 high-quality products that have been especially selected to cater to the needs of shoppers in the holy month.
