IBN Ajayan Projects (IAP), the managers of Asian Town and Labor City projects in Qatar, is set to kick off Ramadan T20 Cricket Tournament in Asian Town Cricket Stadium on Sunday (May 28).
To be held under the patronage of Ministry of Culture and Sports to mark the holy month, the month-long tournament will conclude on June 28.
IbnAjayan Projects is organising Ramadan T20 Cricket Tournament at Asian Town for the third consecutive year. This year, IbnAjayan Projects is organsing the event in association with QECC and Qbizz Events.
Sixteen teams divided into four groups will play altogether 31 matches during the tournament. Barring Thursday, one match per day will be played throughout the month at 8.30pm. On Thursdays, two matches will be held at 7.30pm and 10.30pm.
"This is the third year we are organising Ramadan T20 Cricket Tournament. Our aim behind the event is to promote the game of cricket in Qatar," said Mohammed bin Mahdi bin Ajayanal Ahbabi, Chairman of IbnAjayan Projects."This is a Ramadan gift from IbnAjayan projects to all cricket lovers in the country. We take this opportunity to wish all residents of Qatar a blessed month of Ramadan filled with joy and peace," he added.
