Doha The Ramadan Crescent Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has postponed the announcement of the first day of Ramadan untill Friday evening. Officials at the Awqaf held a briefing to announce Ramadan crescent sighting, but the vision was not clear enough to determine the date. However, the committee decided to postpone the sighting one more day to get a clear vision of the Ramadan Crescent which will determine the first day of the holy month. Officials at Awqaf said Ramadan is most likely to start on Saturday or Sunday. ” Hisham Al-Jundi
